This system is based on the fusion of materials through an electric arc produced at the tip of a tungsten electrode and protected by an inert gas (usually argon and helium).
The cords produced by this system are very resistant and less sensitive to corrosion, precisely because of the protection of the oxygen intrusion that the inert gas gives to the electric arc.
This technique allows to make large contributions of material.
It is ideal for large volume fillings.
It allows welding in practically any position, in addition to metals as varied as aluminum, allied steel, nickel, copper, magnesium ...
In this type of welding you can only add the amount that is considered necessary, thus avoiding an unsightly over thickness.
It works with the arc of low currents, so it allows us to weld different types of thickness, from the smallest to the thickest.
It allows a greater control of penetration and can thus be used for a fine pass or for large thicknesses.
